Secondtropia

Why does Mindark want to make EU more like Second Life? With the avatar update, our avatars do look better but they also look more cartoony like SL ones. The load screen is also distinctly less science fiction and more science SL. The new updating of the textures, the adding of make up, it's all small steps to make EU more similar to one of it's closest competitors.

This is completely the wrong approach, MA should make EU stand out from the crowd not meld in. If it copies SL it will fail, SL is bigger, better known, and cheaper to play than EU.

Mindark need to innovate, make a game worth talking about.

(bringing back a really engaging science fiction plot line, now that would be worth talking about)

Well, i believe that MA knows how important our avatars are to us.

So important that we are willing to pay 500 dollars for a pair of virtual glasses, and pimp ourselves up with expensive clothing.

In Entropia, the better you groom yourself, technically, the more respected you will become.

Anyway, MA is putting alot of effort in ava customization its true.

At least they are putting effort in something! Perhaps trying to bring the generation of games that likes to customize their avatars and spend their cash grooming themselves.

That can be a good market, mind you. There are lots of people that like to do it.

I agree that they are spending their time adding new content, when they should be fixing and optimizing the old bugs and problems.

I also know they redid the color, makeup and avatar system because of CryEngine... And if you played Crysis, you know how fooking good it is.

So expect EU to become mindnumbing good in the future, IF MA does things right.
